Sewage discharges should only happen in truly exceptional weather events. I will fight for tougher fines for rule breaking water companies which will be invested in the ground improvements to pollution sources such as storm overflows and increased permit charges to fund more Environment Agency inspections of Water Companies.
As your MP, I want to secure further funding to reduce the risk of flooding which has blighted the lives of residents in Hazel Grove in recent years.
I am also passionately committed to investing more in renewable and nuclear energy sources to reduce CO2 and NOx emissions and provide energy security.
