My plan (see here)

  1. More affordable Housing for Hazel Grove making the most of our brownfield sites. Our area needs more homes. We need to maximise the use of brownfield sites and prioritise building on empty commercial units to preserve precious greenspace.
  2. Tackling crime, speeding and antisocial behaviour. More police on our streets. Following the delivery of 1,280 new police officers it is important that we see these officers on our streets tackling crime and anti-social behaviour.
  3. Better Access to GP's and Health Care. Appointments when patients need them. With the £30m Emergency Care Campus at Stepping Hill due to complete in March 2024, we will ensure that the £240m Government-backed digital upgrade to telephone systems will result in improved GP access.
  4. Improving local transport provision and progressing the A6-M60 by-pass. Hazel Grove constituency suffers from severe congestion. We are campaigning for improved transport links to boost the local economy and reduce air pollution.
  5. Protecting our Environment: Tougher fines for rule breaking water companies. We’ll take on the rule breaking water companies who dump waste needlessly into our rivers. With tougher fines against them - taken from company profits, not customers.
  6. Investing in our District centres, making them more vibrant and welcoming places to be. We will work to make sure bids go in for new funding for our community facilities, for example the Offerton Leisure Centre, now closed against residents wishes expressed during the consultation.

More money for district centres

Your local Conservatives were instrumental in securing the new Marple Leisure Hub and I want to work with the Government to ensure Hazel Grove is at the front of the queue for the next round of Levelling Up Funding.

Better access to healthcare

We are delivering our fantastic new Emergency Care Campus at Stepping Hill Hospital but need to do much more.

I will work hard to improve access to GPs and NHS Dentists and to make more treatments available from pharmacists.

More affordable homes

Our area needs more affordable homes. We need to maximise the use of brownfield sites and prioritise building in empty commercial units.

Tackling crime and antisocial behaviour

Together we have delivered 1,280 new police officers on the streets of Greater Manchester.

I want to make sure we see our fair share of these new officers on the streets in our constituency, in Hazel Grove, Marple, Offerton, Romiley, Manor and Bredbury
